Journal of trends in contemporary tattoo art
The idea for this project was born out of my personal need for such a magazine on the Polish market. Despite the popularity of tattoo for several years, its artistic value and the role played in culture have been underestimated. The objective of the magazine is not only to show the process of tattooing and to allow the audience to get to know artists better, but also to present a certain lifestyle related to it.
Portraits of typical representatives of Warsaw districts
The protagonists of my works are inhabitants of Warsaw, often they have spent their whole lives here, but their roots cause that some treat them as intruders. The lines appearing on the portraits refer to harmful racial research, carried out at various periods of history. I present the people photographed by me as typical representatives of individual districts, caught accidentally in the street. Through face sketches printed on mirror sheets, I try to confront the recipient with the presented figure and put them in boots of a given person. My aim is to draw the attention to the issue of intolerance, above all to people who, because of their appearance, never had to deal with the unpleasantness resulting from their origin.
