Costume and stage design for the opera „The Child and the Spells” by Maurice Ravel

The Child and the Spells is an opéra féerie showing the world of objects and animals through the eyes of a child’s imagination. In my design, it is not only grotesque but also mysterious and dark as a nightmare. Imagining a world where anything can happen poses a challenge for the imagination of a production designer. At the same time, it is a potential to create a unique image, free from patterns and repeatability. The encounter with the subject of fantasy and surrealism made each stage of work on the project a fascinating discovery for me.
